STM32Trust integrates knowledge, design tools and stmicroelectronics' original ready-to-use software to help designers build mutual trust between devices, prevent illegal access, defend against side channel attacks, and prevent data theft and code modification by leveraging the built-in security features of STM32 * microcontrollers.

STM32 series is the world's leading Arm Cortex CPU architecture system chip product portfolio, a total of nearly 1000 products, used for intelligent devices, remote sensors, wearable devices, electronic medical equipment, Internet of things gateway, access control memory, payment terminal and other Internet of things equipment.Depending on the model, hardware network protection features include customized security guidance, random number generator to prevent hackers from observing signal patterns, dedicated encryption coprocessor, and key security storage unit.Stmicrosemiconductor also built tamper-detection, firewall code isolation mechanisms on the chip, and implemented ArmTorrentZone security technology to provide additional protection for the most vulnerable code.

STM32Trust provides product developers with all the resources they need, including references and free software, to use these hardware features to effectively protect the data security of Internet of things devices.

In the reference package, x-cube -SBSFU demonstrates how to secure application code in two of the most vulnerable situations, when the application code is transferred to boot storage or field updates.The x-cube SBSFU reference package is applicable to STM32F4, F7, H7, L0, L1, L4, G0, G4 and WB.STSAFE is a reference design that maximizes the level of security in the final application.

In addition, STM32L4 and STM32H7 microcontroller security firmware installation solutions can protect the safety of the device when the code is first burned.The solution provides a complete application security installation kit that encrypts OEM binaries using the Trusted Package Creator software, loads the code securely into STM32 flash memory using the STM32CUBE burner, and delivers OEM digital certificates to the partner responsible for code installation using the STM32HSM module.
